Just relax. Enjoy each other's company. Not everything has to be planned.
Pick a weekend. Dump the kids at the gran's. Take a car out and decide where to go on a whim. You may end up at the corner deli where you both had secret escapades. Or the special place where you both knew you were meant to be together forever - for the first time.
Try to recapture the moments you both shared before you were caught up in the frenetic pace of life. Try to be young and free once more and live for the moment. Rediscover each other all over again. Talk about your most intimate secrets. You don't have to be talking about the kids, the car loan, mortgage and what's in your bank account.
Talk about what you want to be - what you always dream about. Don't assume that your other half already knows because he/she shares your bed.
Talk about what you are going to do for the rest of today - its as simple as that.
Be spontaneous and let yourself go. Try to remember the special things about each other that brought you both together, bound in spirit, soul and body.
Then - when you both have rediscovered yourselves - for that few precious moments - you would have re-cemented the bond between you. Life becomes so much more bearable.
